EERIE PUBLICATIONS

Here’s another post that’s intended to help flesh out a Squidoo article that I wrote a while back.
What’s on display here are just a few covers from EERIE PUBLICATIONS, which was a subsidiary of Myron Fass’ Countrywide Publications, a company that was thriving from the sixties to the eighties.
The contents of these magazines was primarily reprints (and re-reprints) of horror comics from the 1950s, sometimes with some extra blood drawn in. Fass completed the package with garish gory covers that really stood out on the racks at Safeway.

Since their outrageous covers were most notorious for, it didn’t seem right to present them so small on my Squidoo page. So, here are a few more for your viewing pleasure.

If this stuff seems interesting to you, please take a look at my original Squidoo lens by clicking HERE.

And if you’re wondering what the “guts” of these magazines were like you’re in luck. Several EERIE PUBLICATIONS stories have been collected into one volume called THE ZOMBIE FACTORY, which can be ordered from the link at the bottom of this post.
